SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Zheng Xi, born in November 2006, began studying piano at the age of 4 and cello at the age of 9. In 2017, she entered the 5th grade of the Central Conservatory of Music's attached primary school as the first professional, and in 2019, she entered the Central Conservatory of Music's attached middle school also as the first professional, studying with Professor Namula. Zheng Xi won the Bronze Medal in the Youth Category of the 4th Knutsevitsky International Cello Competition in Russia in May 2018., and achieved the Special Gold Medal in the Western Instrumental Competition of the 1st Singapore International Music Festival in August. at the Yan'an Arts Festival in May 2019, Zheng Xi was selected to be a member of the Gifted Teenagers Group and performed solo the piece ‘The Tarantella’, which received unanimous praise.In August, he achieved the second place in the Youth Professional Group Competition of the First Hohhot International Music Summer Camp. In November, at the 2019 8th David. Poppell International Youth Cello Competition, where she won third place. Zheng Xi was invited to participate in the Sichuan Symphony Orchestra's ‘New Expectations’ concert on 29 September 2021, and successfully collaborated with the Sichuan Symphony Orchestra on Edouard. Lalo's Cello Concerto in D minor. 7 June 2024 Zheng Xi was admitted to the Austrian Stella Vorarlberg Privathochschule für Musik with full marks.
