SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Cathleen Wagner has started her first musical education at the age of 6. Following into the step of her older sister, she took piano lessons with Irina Fecht. After attending a school that provides additional music lessons in a string instrument, Cathleen had her first encounter with the cello at the age of 10. After extending her musical education by taking cello lessons with Andreas Schuler in the Musikschule Sinsheim, she also starts singing and writing Songs. In her following life-period, Cathleen participates successfully in various competitions such as “Jugend Musiziert” (from 2013-2022) in the categories “Cello Solo”, “Cello Duo”, “Piano Solo”, “Piano Duo with Woodwinds” at regional, state and national level and in Singing-Competitions such as “SONGS- Songwriting Competition 2019” from the Popakademie Baden-Württembergs (1st Place), “51. Backnanger Nachwuchsfestival 2023” (1st Place) and “The Voice Kids of Germany 2020”. Because of her good results, she received scholarships from the “Förderverein Sinsheim”, “Kulturakademie Baden-Württemberg” and “Bayerischem Musik-Akademie Schloss Alteglofsheim”. She also has gained a lot of experience in chamber-music through playing in different Piano-Trios, String-Quartets and other ensembles and student-orchestras. Cathleen has been an UNICEF-Ambassador since 2020 and engages in international Benefit-Concerts and other voluntary work in connection with music since then. She studies now at the “Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Mannheim“ with Prof. Francis Gouton. In the last years, Cathleen attended masterclasses of Martin Ostertag, Francis Gouton, Conradin Brotbek, Peter Buck and Joachim Hess.
