SHORT BIOGRPAHY
Jaagup Piirsalu is young Estonian cellist, who stated his cello studies at the age of six. In 2015 he begin his studies at Tallinn Music High school at Ardo Västrik's cello class. Starting form 2024 he is also learning under Mart Laas' tutelage in Tallinn College of Music and Ballet. He has participated in numerous masterclasses including Indrek Leivaja, Marcel Johannes Kits and Anouchka Hack. He has received recognition in multiple Estonian string competitions including the Estonian Young string players competition 2024 and at the competition Best Young Estonian instrumentalist 2024. He has performed multiple times with Tallinn Chamber orchestra at the special concert of "Virtuosos of Kivimäe and MUBA"
