Dubinskis Jēkabs

SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Jēkabs says, "I love the sound of the cello, and I want to become a distinguished cellist." He is disciplined and hardworking, believing that one cannot learn to play the cello by being lazy, so he follows a strict practice regimen.

He enjoys performing and has delighted audiences at many musical events with his playing.

In December 2024, he was selected to participate in the Balanas Classical masterclasses at the Ola Foundation Art Gallery, where he received standing ovations at the final concert. He has been invited to perform at a 2025 event organized by the Rīgas Ballet at the E. Smiļģa Museum.

In 2024, he won 1st place at the III Vidzeme Region Music School String Instrument Competition in Madona. He also received a 2nd place laureate diploma at the VII International Saulius Sondeckis Young Violinists and Cellists Competition in Lithuania.
