SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Klāvs is a charismatic and highly motivated young cellist from Latvia. Currently, he enhances the sound of the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra and is a member of the string quartet “Berči.” He developed his cello skills under the guidance of Professor Emeritus Eleonora Testeļeca during his bachelor’s studies, and later earned his master’s degree under the mentorship of Associate Professor Guna Šnē at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music. Klāvs further honed his skills through the Erasmus+ program, where he studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London with Professor Adrian Brendel. Since the age of 15, he has regularly participated in competitions and academic music festivals, as well as attended masterclasses with world-renowned musicians such as Jean-Guihen Queyras, Claudio Bohórquez, Lionel Cottet, Xenia Jankovic, Mischa Maisky, and others.
